FRRL Activities

The FRRL is a very active club supported by enthusiastic members who enjoy various activities. Whether it's a club sponsored event, or a community activity, the FRRL membership responds by providing communications via amateur radio.

Banquet Each year the club holds an Awards Banquet in January.

Huntley Fall Fest Ham radio demonstration to the public during the 2008 Huntley Fall Festival. A great way to show the public what we do! Highlights of the 2007 event are also linked.
Le Tour de Fox Amateur radio in action providing communications for a 2005 bicycle rally organized by the Fox Valley Park District which included a 17 mile course.

Canoe Race
Members of our club provide communications during this premier event held in the Fox Valley.
MS Walk This annual event held in St. Charles is a worthy cause for our members. We provide the "eyes and ears" for the organizers.
Nets Information about our FM and D-Star repeaters. Weekly FM check-in net and other non-club nets which hams enjoy.
Next Gen Hams Youth activities to promote science and technology.
Radio in the Park Get out of the shack and set up your radio equipment in one of over 150 different parks in our area.
Scarecrow Fest An annual operating event which coincides with the St. Charles Scarecrow Festival that celebrates the fall harvest.
Sweetness Run The Connie Payton Foundation hosts a run/walk in Aurora each year. The FRRL provides communications support for the event.
VE Testing The FRRL sponsors VE Testing every "odd numbered month"
