The FRRL D-Star Repeater Team has built a full D-Star (Digital Smart Technology for Amateur Radio) Repeater System complete with a Gateway. The repeaters operate in the 2 Meters, 440 Mhz, 1.2 Ghz amateur bands. The 442.10625 Mhz repeater system is a fully coordinated repeater with an antenna HAAT (Height Above Average Terrain) of 450 ft and transmit EIRP (Effective Isotropic Radiated Power) of 350 watts. This system identifies as "W9CEQ B" in the D-Star digital format and is fully operational.
This is an excellent opportunity for our members to get involved with an emerging technology that is the "real deal. Watch this spot for more information about the FRRL D-Star Activity.
The use of the Gateway will only be available to FRRL members (FRRL membership applications, here.)
