Illinois D-Star Net
The Illinois D-Star Net meets Wednesday evenings at 8 PM, CDT. All D-Star radio users are invited to participate!
To connect to each other, each user should set their radio as normal with the respective repeater's gateway callsign in RPT2. For instance for W9CEQ the RPT2 calls will be W9CEQ_ _G (where the _ is a space). For the NS9RC users, the RPT2 call will be NS9RC_ _G. The URCAL should be CQCQCQ. Both clubs will be using their UHF D-Star systems RPT1, W9CEQ_ _B and NS9RC_ _B. The NS9RC_ _A system will also be included so those using 23cm can check in.
The net has been established to allow D-Star radio and dongle users to ask questions, share ideas and to get to know other D-Star users throughout the state. For now, two systems are tied together, the W9CEQ FRRL UHF D-Star system, and the UHF D-Star system operated by the North Shore Radio Club.
The goal is to alternate net controls from week to week between the two clubs.
This net is being established in order for D-Star users to get to know one another and to promote the use of D-Star and the many features it has to offer. The leading D-Star experts in Illinois will be participating in the net, so those with questions will have the opportunity to gain further knowledge using this new mode.
